Dear Brothers, Sisters, and Friends:

Our annual commemoration of the birthday of General Ulysses S. Grant

will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the National Monument on 122nd

Street and Riverside Drive in Manhattan. The ceremony begins at 11:00 AM,

which also includes the initiation of new members of the Oliver Tilden Camp.

Sinking of the USS Monitor
EVENT DATE: SATURDAY, JANUARY 12, 2013
Cemetery Trolley: Commencing at 1:00 PM we will honor the
USS Monitor Crewmen at their grave sites. Followed by
Greenwood Chapel: Memorial Service, musical tribute,
USS Monitor displays, refreshments.
Bus from Greenpoint for those requiring transportation.

SVR units requested to attend a grave dedication at Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington Delaware May 27th 2012

The Appomattox Camp from Wilmington is tentatively planning to conduct a grave dedication ceremony at Riverview Cemetery in Wilmington, Delaware on Sunday afternoon the 27th of May.

This time has been selected due to a prior commitment of the 2nd Delaware, which will be participating in a Civil War memorial service at Mt. Salem Church in Wilmington at 10:00 am.

Colonel Edward Baker Honored in Ceremony at Ball's Bluff Battlefield

Members of the 2nd Military District Staff, The Chesapeake Guard,  the Department of the Chesapeake SUVCW, and the Colonel Edward D. Baker Camp #6, an at large camp in Oregon, gathered at the Ball's Bluff Battlefield on the 23rd of October to honor memory of Colonel Edward Baker.

Colonel Crowther Weekend (Sesquicentennial Signature Event) 5-7 August 2011

The 110th PA (SVR) and Col. Crowther Camp #89 held their annual Colonel Crowther Weekend in Tyrone, Pennsylvania on the weekend of August 5th - 7th. Although the weather was less than perfect the event was very successful.

This event had been designated a signature event by the SUVCW Sesquicentennial committee and the activities included demonstrations of Cavalry, Artillery, and Infantry tactics. On Sunday a Civil War era church service was conducted by the 110th's Chaplain. This service was...
