Dear officers, members and friends of Tilden Camp:
I want to inform you that the Greenpoint Monitor Museum made the Secondary list of organizations that will receive funding through the Newtown Creek Environmental Benefit Projects. There is 7 million dollars available. The money the museum would receive would go to develop the museum's land on the Bushwick Inlet in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The land shares the building and launch site of the USS Monitor.
The date of the DEC letter (not shone) is October 25, 2011. This is the 150th Anniversary Date for the laying of the keel of the USS Monitor to start its construction. I hope this is a good omen for great things to come. Tilden Camp is proud to be part of this exciting time to work with the museum. Thank you for your letters of support!!!!!!!!!!
