Dear Brothers, Sisters, and Friends:

Our annual commemoration of the birthday of General Ulysses S. Grant

will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the National Monument on 122^nd

Street and Riverside Drive in Manhattan. The ceremony begins at 11:00 AM,

which also includes the initiation of new members of the Oliver Tilden Camp.

150th Anniversary of the
Sinking of the USS Monitor

EVENT DATE: SATURDAY, JANUARY 12, 2013
Cemetery Trolley: Commencing at 1:00 PM we will honor the
USS Monitor Crewmen at their grave sites. Followed by
Greenwood Chapel: Memorial Service, musical tribute,
USS Monitor displays, refreshments.
Bus from Greenpoint for those requiring transportation.

On Saturday November 12th Co. I 83rd NY Vols SVR participated in a a ceremony that dedicated four new govenment issued headstones. These headstones honored 1st Lt John J. Irwin Co. I 90th NYVI, Sgt Charles Parsons, Co H, 87th NYVI. Pvt. George H. Gates Co. K, 13th Massachusetts Vols., and Corp. Thereon L. Neff Co. H, 25th Connecticut Vols.
