The Appomattox Camp from Wilmington is tentatively planning to conduct a grave dedication ceremony at Riverview Cemetery in Wilmington, Delaware on Sunday afternoon the 27th of May.

This time has been selected due to a prior commitment of the 2nd Delaware, which will be participating in a Civil War memorial service at Mt. Salem Church in Wilmington at 10:00 am.

This is the schedule was provided by the organizers:

10:00 am - 1:00 pm There will be a church service followed by a program in the cemetery and lunch attended by the 2nd De. and Appomattox Camp (SVR, members are welcome)

2:30 PM we move to Riverview Cemetery. (Friends of Riverview memorial program) attended by (Fof R, 2nd De., Appomattox camp, SVR)

3:00-3:15 pm Riverview (begin Grave Dedication) (conducted by the Appomattox camp, assited by SVR, and 2nd De.)

Since the Friends of Riverview Cemetery are involved in the planning of the cemetery ceremony and they wish to coordinate their program and ours, one will follow the other.

There are somewhere around 175 civil war veterans graves in the Riverview Cemetery and it seems appropriate to support them, (friends of Riverview) as they would attend our program as well. There is a lot going on here making it a challenge to coordinate all the efforts. To sum it up here is the schedule as I see it now pending hearing from all the groups involved.
